International artist Anne was born in the Scottish borders town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed. She has painted for as long as she can remember and sold her first oil painting of a local northumberland scene at the age of 13. She sold many paintings in her teens both locally and internationally until at the age of 18 she attended Edinburgh College of Art. However she decided a life in the RAF was for her and she spent 12 years in an electronics career. During this time she met her husband and had 5 children but still painted the odd commission.
In 2013 one night she dreamed of her father who told her to stop being so stupid and to start painting again. He had died 4 years previously. The next morning she got up and started painting and hasn't looked back since.
Anne loves animals and now paints mostly wildlife .The majority of her work is in soft pastels and oils but also works in other mediums. She loves to paint on reclaimed wood in oils and these are proving to be really popular.
She exhibits at several shows throughout the year including The Royal Highland, The Game Fair, Country Living, Cowdray Park Polo club, Burghley, Chester Art Fair and Olympia International Horse Show. Anne also contributes work to The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust to be auctioned at their annual Mcnab Ball.
Anne has reduced her workload since Covid due to ill health and is currently battling cancer. However she still attends as many shows as possible during the year as this is what she loves.
Anne welcomes commissions and is always happy to discuss your individual needs.
